Cat ownership in Gurgaon is concentrated in apartments, and the cats are almost always indoor-only, which has two consequences. They never wear their nails down, so nail work is the single most requested part of a session in Sushant Lok, South City and the Golf Course Road towers. And they have usually met very few strangers, so a groomer who walks in and reaches straight for the cat will get nowhere. Every session covers

• Slow introduction period where the groomer lets the cat approach the towels and tools first

• Optional bath with a cat-safe, fragrance-light shampoo, or a waterless clean for cats who panic at water

• Eye corner cleaning for flat-faced breeds and a wipe-down of the ear flaps
